Croissant at an almost break the bank price- but thankfully it had good layers, enough butter and flavour.
Yet what I was really here for was their cheesecake which I read was one of the best in Singapore. I’d only sadly learnt there is no per slice version but the cafe takes whole cake order instead. We settled for the cheese tart that had quite a good cheese filling but the crumbly and dry biscuit tart base was way too tastelessly health conscious for our liking.
The best thing had to be the yakiniku mushroom sandwich that was quite memorable; the black pepper sauce that so prominently coats the meat-like mushroom chunks worked like a charm in between perfectly baked sesame sandwich bread. This goes into the category of “making vegetarian food a hearty affair.”
