One of the things most I miss about Malaysia the accessibility to food and how lucky we are to be surrounded by so many different types of cuisines from a melting pot of cultures. Much like the beautiful Malaysia I grew up in. So much negativity lately surrounding my beautiful homeland but seeing the majority of the nation bandy together to stop the racism, stop the hatred, stop the misunderstandings and misinformation, makes my heart soar and proud to call myself Malaysian.
If you look at my posts from the last week, you can tell I've been eating a lot and from various cuisines, Malay, Chinese, Indian, Nyonya, etc. A real hodgepodge and collection of things of beautiful cuisines.
Which is the same as my childhood and upbringing. Without the exposure to so many cultures growing up, my friends and I wouldn't be who we are today. So stand up and not be afraid to speak up for fairness and equality, because the world is watching us. Happy Malaysia Day #1malaysia #bangsamalaysia
