Yet another day, and another day indeed at the newly-revamped Funan. Being one of the more popular options for specialty coffee in the mall, PPP Coffee no doubt holds strong to the reputation set by their parent, Papa Pahelta which had already been churning out quality cuppas ever since third wave coffee movement had hit our shores during its peak.

Also serving up small bites, the Cream Cheese Heibi Hiam is probably the simplest form of local fusion; just a sourdough that is crisp on the edges, yet fluffy and light in the middle that is spread with cream cheese and coming with a good portion of spicy dried shrimp, this was no doubt satisfying with its umami flavour profile and spicy kick that is ultimately comforting. Certainly works out for a more substantial tea time treat.
