This new menu item, the Dark Meat Hot Chicken Burger ($10.80), is the first Asia-specific menu item and the only dark meat item in the entire Shake Shack chain of outlets.

To make this burger, the chicken thigh is first slow cooked in a creamy buttermilk marinate, hand-dipped into the Shack-made batter, coated with the seasoned flour before being crisp-fried. The chicken is then dusted with a hot pepper blend before it is sandwiched between the potato bun with Louisiana hot sauce slaw and kosher dill pickles. The addition of the slaw helps to cushion the spicy kick slightly while the pickles cut through the richness so that you can experience different layers of flavour.
