Itโs a must to have their signature roast DUCK at @ducklandsg! ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ My sister & bro-in-law actually stand by their Fish & Chips, but I shall leave that for my next visit! ๐๐ป
.
Shared half a Roast Irish Duck ($30++) with 3 other ladies! ๐ The duck exuded an alluring aroma when served really got us salivating. ๐คค Roasted to perfection, its skin was super crisp & oozing with fat juices. ๐ While I would have preferred it to be more meaty, it was undoubtedly pretty tender with no gamey taste. ๐๐ป
.
What aced the dish was the accompanying 4 dipping sauces! ๐ฏ For an Irish/Western take, go for their tangy raspberry sauce that cuts away the oiliness with its tangy zest. ๐ For spice lovers, their calamansi chilli which packs a punch will please your taste buds. ๐ถ Their yellow mustard sauce leaned towards the sweet side, which complements the savoury duck meat. ๐ My favourite has got to be the duck sauce, a savoury & rich gravy full of the duck essence with some soy sauce. โค
.
Drizzle the duck sauce over their Steamed Duck Rice (+$2++) which is cooked in duck fat, sweet corn kernels & spices. Liked that it was fragrant but not oily! ๐
.
We also added their Salted Vegetable Duck Soup (+$6++) ๐ฅฃ, a comforting bowl prepared with roast duck breast, white radish, tomatoes ๐
& stewed for hours with salted vegetables. To be honest, we could not taste the duck at all ๐คฃ as the salted vegetables dominated the bowl, but the small chunks of duck meat was tender. ๐๐ป
