Really impressed and spoilt for choice with the locally-inspired ice-cream selection at The Humble Scoop that we ended up with a triple scoop for two. Of the lot, our favourite was the Pulut Hitam; painstakingly cooked from scratch before being churned into an ice-cream, the Pulut Hitam carried bits of black glutinous rice for a bit of bite whilst being rich and creamy; balanced with the fragrance of coconut milk but not overly sweet. The other two flavours are just as impressive; the Sugar Cane with Lemon being a sorbet-esque flavour that replicates the refreshing local thirst quencher with a zing that helps to cleanse the palate, while the In-Kueh-dible resembles Ondeh Ondeh with its thoughtful use of Gula Melaka and Salted Coconut which was also not overly sweet. A place I wouldn’t mind visiting again, considering the unique flavours here.
