Keeping local traditions alive.
Helming the kitchen is Chef/Owner, Chef Joel who want to keep his grandma’s recipes alive.
P1: Chef Joel’s BBQ Pork Cheek $14.80.
Smoky, succulent premium pork cheek grilled to charred perfection & served with Chef Joel’s special sauce.
Thai influenced sauce goes very well the the fatty pork cheek. Adore the pork cheek.
P2: Singapore Style Chilli Prawns $17.80. add 4 mini mantous for $2.
Fresh, huge prawns cooked in Singapore’s very own famous chilli crab sauce.
Refreshing having prawns in chilli crab sauce. Great to have mantou dipping. Personal favourite.
P3: Chef Joel’s Brandy White Fish Soup $11.80.
Smooth, white, collagen-rich fish soup boiled for many hours with no milk added.
Limited servings daily. No MSG is added. Adore the fish soup.
P4-5: Grandma’s “Te Kah” Bee Hoon $ 11.80.
Tender braised pork leg wok-fried with vermicelli, from Chef Joel’s Grandma’s secret recipe.
The pork leg is braised in light sauce, probably with Thai-Teochew influence.
Adore the soaked vermicelli and the fatty pork leg. Not cloying as the layer of fats is not oily.
P6: (Top) Chendol Panna Cotta $6.80.
An Italian twist on a classic Singaporean dessert.
Pandan noodles & fragrant Gula Melaka topped with sweet coconut cream pudding. Nice dessert, having all the tasty elements of our local chendol, lacking the red beans though. (Bottom) Teochew “Orh Ni” $5.80.
A traditional Teochew dessert. Sweet yam paste with coconut milk, pumpkin purée & ginkgo nuts.
Not overly sweet, pumpkin purée with bits of pumpkin for palate texture. Nice.
