It was definitely an adventure travelling here, having got on the wrong bus and all, but that's a story for another day! Citrus by the Pool is a cafe full of hidden delights which makes my long journey here all the more worthwhile.
Of the lot I tried, the Fried Chicken & Waffles from the Ala-carte Menu has got to be my favourite dish. A well balanced dish comprising of both sweet and savoury elements, the waffle was fluffy and had a very strong butter taste. Drizzled the maple syrup over the crispy chicken and you get the best of both worlds.
Not pictured here is the Tom Yum Seafood Pasta, which is one of their signature dish here, as evident from all the 'ohhh' and 'mmm' heard from the table. At first bite, one may find this innocent looking pasta harmless, but let the flavours settle down and you will find it does send some kick. To top it off, they certainly stay true to their words by filling the entire plate with seafood!
Food aside, can I just say the staff here, particularly @dawnchansg was extremely friendly and helpful, having greeted me with the warmest smile when I arrived. Thank you so much for your hospitality and thanks @citrusbythepool for having me!
