On top of the cabbage, carrots and mushrooms, you can get seafood, chicken or both in your ramen. My King Champon bowl came with 1 squid, 1 prawn, 1 asari clam, 1 quail egg, 1 pork belly, 1 crabstick, 1 oyster, a few chunks of chicken gizzard, chicken thigh, bamboo shoots, some fishcakes and kamaboko. Yes, that sounds a lot!

But, I noticed that my noodle portion was slightly smaller than the usual bowl in other Keisuke outlets. I also asked for less cabbage in my ramen because I'm not a big fan of it. The thicker and straighter noodle used here was also more flavourful as it was cooked together in the chicken and pork bone broth and ingredients. I almost finished the bowl - except for a few strands of noodle and cabbage (well, blame the free-flow boiled egg and bean sprouts that tempted me while waiting for my ramen!). Add a few spoons of Keisuke's garlic chilli to add extra oomph to the broth. Comforting in this kind of chilly weather.
