We had dinner at Wanton Seng’s Noodle Bar recently and ordered Char Siu ($10), Seared Scallops ($16), Sichuan Mince Boiled Wantons ($10) and Mee Kia ($1). Price wise, it is pretty pricey given the small quantity of each dish, but there is a one-for-one deal on Burpple Beyond. I like the springy egg noodle that is tossed in a lardy sauce (though one bowl is hardly enough😅). The char siu is nicely charred with a good balance of lean meat and fats. The seared scallops go well with the delicious ginger garlic glaze. The pork wantons with chili minced pork and scallions are not too spicy or numbing. Overall, the food is pretty decent but the lunch menu is more value-for-money in terms of portion and price☝🏻
