Fragrant blue pea coconut rice served with beef rendang, otak otak, fried egg, sambal, achar, cucumber, fried crisps, peanuts & anchovies. Can we just begin with how pretty how this dish is?! The tower made of blue pea coconut rice, cucumbers, egg, beef rendang and fried crisps is a sight to behold. We almost couldn’t bear to cut it apart. Well thankfully we did, because this dish isn’t just pretty, it’s delicious too.

The coconut rice is not the most fragrant, but it works out nicely when eaten with the tender beef rendang and otak otak. Top that spoonful off with some of the sambal chilli and you’ve got a real flavourful spoon of good stuff!
