We flock to ๐๐๐ international brand names like moths to flame. It's part of our culture to queue for things like Taiwanese bubble tea THEN American burgers โ we are a hotbed for international franchises.

I had a pretty good ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฏ๐๐ฟ๐ด๐ฒ๐ฟ ($15, all the way toppings) from the new flavour of the month. My attention was all on the hefty and juicy patty, which was decently flavourful with an enjoyably tender texture that carried a whisper of char (would prefer more). I also liked certain toppings like the grilled mushrooms and onions that added some earthiness and sharpness. The buns were pillowy but got slightly soggy towards the end.

I don't remember ever being blown away, despite insane hype for these franchises. I enjoyed it but it was not ๐ต๐ฉ๐ข๐ต ๐จ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฅ โ I described it as "better Carl's Jr." to a friend. Still, it was better than Shake Shack for me (though also more expensive), but honestly if they were local brands, we would see half the hype.
