Switching out their Roast Spring Chicken, The Communal Place’s refreshed menu sees the addition of Yuzu Butterfly Chicken ($18) among their list of sharing plates. Marinated well with the distinct taste of the citrus fruit, the meat was exceptionally succulent and delivered a good depth of flavours - the perfect marriage of sweet and savoury. Served with baby potatoes and glazed vegetables, the dish was utterly lip-smacking and the portion was sizable for the price. The fragrance was also to die for, as the heady yuzu scent wafted over us with our initial cut through the glazed skin.
