Allow me to introduce you to Violet Oon Singapore’s Petite Feasts that are suitable for a party size of 4-6 pax. There is a total of three different menus, with prices starting from $125 to $165 (inclusive of delivery charge), and each menu features signature dishes from the restaurants such as Ayam Pong to Dry Laksa, with all dishes packed individually during the delivery.

What I have gotten is the Petit Feast Menu 3 ($165) which comes with six dishes of Gado Gado, Ayam Buah Keluak, Daging Chabek Beef Cheek, Garam Assam Fish, Meatless Meatballs Rendang, Dry Laksa and jasmine rice. To start off the meal, enjoy the Peranakan version of salad with the gado gado of tempeh, bean curd, eggs, potatoes, lotong rice and vegetables in a thick and spicy peanut sauce before moving on to the other savoury dishes with my favourites being the ayam buah keluak made with the iconic buah keluak nut with aromatic spices, and the vegan dish of meatless meatballs rendang that consists of walnut and cheese dumplings braised in a creamy coconut cream sauce and homemade rempah. Last but not least, what’s there not to like about the restaurant’s signature Dry Laksa that pays homage to a pasta dish but still retaining the essence and ingredients of a conventional laksa.

From now till 13 June, for any order of the Petit Feast, the restaurant will be including a complementary portion of their signature Kueh Beng Kah, a dessert kueh that is vegetarian and gluten-free. There is free delivery for orders above $125 and takeaway orders get 10% off the total bill, which are available for pick-up at the National Kitchen outlet between 11:00am to 8:30pm daily.
