Have always been passing by this restaurant for the longest time but didn't get to try it (because it only opens 45mins after my gym sessions ends every sat morn and I didn't wana wait around for it to open)! Finally got the chance to try it last weekend! We had the braised pork noodle ($9.50) with claypot alacarte - we got the meatball ($2) and chicken thigh ($5), and it came with a few pieces of Tau Kee. Rice was for an additional $1. There is also an ongoing promo for the month of August - got the popular fried chawanmushi at $5.40 (instead of $8!). I thought the fried chawanmushi was quite interesting! It tasted like fried tofu though, but we can see that there are additional ingredients in the chawanmushi too! It was served with light soy sauce. I found the claypot braised sauce too salty too, towards the end I was trying to avoid the sauce at all costs. I didn't quite like the braised pork noodle though as I'm not a fan of Taiwanese style fatty pork (I prefer the minced pork rice style). But with that said, this place is pretty affordable for a Taiwanese meal! There id no gst here, only service charge! And yes, there is shopbackgo here! (Tip: if you are new to shopback, DM for referral link to set up your shopback account! With every 10 Shopbackgo restaurants visited and paid with a citibankvisa card, you will earn $50 on top of the normal cashback!) #food #foodiesg #sgfoodie #whati8today #8dayseat #foodie #iweeklyfood #foodporn #foodstagram #vscofood #foodphotography #sgmakan #sgmakandiary #sgfoodstagram #singaporeeats #exploresingaporeeats #exploresg #whatsgoodhere #foodtrails #sgfoodies #sgeats
