Never thought Astons would open a Japanese restaurant, so I was really surprised when I found this place at the recently revamped Singpost Centre for affordable Japanese dishes that taste better than the average Jap food fare!

The Gyudon ($11.90±±), along with all the donburi's here, have a relatively larger-than-usual portion. There is a generous portion of sliced beef which is generally tender and flavourful, and the yolk from the sous vide egg flows out beautifully. It is served with greens and yellow pickles along with a bowl of miso soup, which is a little bland, plus the seaweed tastes kinda funky. 😕
