As I sank my teeth into this delicate flaky pastry ($0.80/piece), I can’t help but exclaim how divine it was - everything just gelled so harmoniously together! 🥰🥰🥰 It’s utterly surprising how gratifying this small piece of piah can be! 👍🏻

The flaky crust exudes an irresistible buttery fragrance, probably attributable to the pork lard used. 🤤🤤🤤 It might not be the healthiest snack but it sure elevated the taste of the pastry! 💕

You can choose between sweet or salty for the mung bean filling but I went with sweet, as recommended by many others. ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻 It was dense, packed tightly within this small pastry but still smooth & delightful! 💯 Together with the nice crunch of the pastry & topped with aromatic white sesame seeds, this makes my favourite tau sar piah! 😋😋😋
