As I sank my teeth into this delicate flaky pastry ($0.80/piece), I canβt help but exclaim how divine it was - everything just gelled so harmoniously together! π₯°π₯°π₯° Itβs utterly surprising how gratifying this small piece of piah can be! ππ»

The flaky crust exudes an irresistible buttery fragrance, probably attributable to the pork lard used. π€€π€€π€€ It might not be the healthiest snack but it sure elevated the taste of the pastry! π

You can choose between sweet or salty for the mung bean filling but I went with sweet, as recommended by many others. βπ»βπ»βπ» It was dense, packed tightly within this small pastry but still smooth & delightful! π― Together with the nice crunch of the pastry & topped with aromatic white sesame seeds, this makes my favourite tau sar piah! πππ
