One of my favourite afternoon tea buffets to date (not that I have tried all that many), Regent Singapore Tea Lounge’s Weekend High Tea Buffet is a fairly indulgent affair at $55++ (U.P. $65++). Unlike their Weekday Three-Tier Afternoon Tea which features small sophisticated bites, the buffet offers quite a selection of hearty Western and Eastern delights with a touch of local flair. And though the spread seems deceptively small, the variety is pretty amazing.

Filling up my table like a ‘Kiasu’ Singaporean, my most-loved part of their recent line up was certainly their live Carving station where you can look forward to Miso-marinated Wild Salmon and Sake-infused Wagyu Beef Tataki. The butter scones and waffles were also fool-proof. However, if given the task to pick only one item to go for, dive straight for their congee and kick back on their luxuriously plush seats immersing in the contemporary colonial garden décor as you finish one bowl after another. A must-try, the stock of the Seafood Congee with Goji Berries held all the natural sweetness from the ingredients but the plump king prawns with fresh fish slices really took things up a notch. Slurps!
