Skipping right to the dessert, I was pleasantly surprised by Tamago-EN’s Berry Soufflé Pancake ($11.80). Delivering warm and fluffy goodness, the soft stack from the egg-focused casual restaurant was thankfully not too eggy. Served with airy whipped cream, powdered sugar, fresh strawberries, berry sauce, maple syrup, and pistachio; the pillowy cakes on their own were not too sweet either - superbly light and easy on the palate. Indeed more of a soufflé than a pancake, the cloud-like texture of the pancake is something I really enjoyed.
