Finally gotten down to trying this after passing it over for the equally popular Katz Deli (pastrami sandwich yassss) located nearby in NY.

Had incredibly high expectations given its credentials by esteemed publications and I would say that these were really the fluffiest pancakes I've had in my life. Unfortunately for me, taste outweighs texture when it comes to pancakes because I like to savour them without syrup which are more often than not cloyingly sweet, and these really needed the syrup which came with it. The latter came in the form of real maple syrup infused elegantly with creamy butter. Now that, was out of this world and definitely in a league of its own.
Though I wouldn't say it was impossible for a single person to finish on his own, it did sit quite heavy on my stomach after some time so... yes, maybe sharing would be a smarter option.
