While the texture was on point with crisp edges, I would personally prefer if the interior was denser, with a soft, fluffy and cake-like texture. The batter also lacked the characteristic buttery fragrance too 😢. Thank god the homemade ice cream here made up for that slight disappointment I had for their waffles! Exclusively available for September are 3 tea flavours available in a single sitting: Uji matcha, genmaicha and houjicha. What a tea-riffic excuse for me to head down and try them all! As I have tried the genmaicha flavour previously, I decided to head straight for the other 2 tea flavours. The uji matcha is embedded with nibs of chocolate coated mixed nuts that added a pleasant crunch factor. Thank god it isn't the usual partner in crime: red bean that I personally loathe! 🙏🏻 The matcha flavour was surprisingly distinct, with a lingering earthy note and a bitter undertone. The intensity of flavour here would suit the matchaholics (which I am one too)! 💚 The houjicha flavour, on the other hand, paled in comparison. Despite having a distinctive roasted flavour, the intensity decreased gradually the more you indulge, which I would have wished for a reverse effect 😅. Texture for both flavours were smooth, creamy and melt-in-the mouth that I adore! 💖 (PS: Heard that 2 new Japanese inspired flavours are going to be launched soon too! Can't wait to try! 😋) .
