Apart from the famed 海底捞, Clarke Quay also houses another hotpot restaurant, 大妙火锅.

Their selection of soup bases allows you to only choose two of the variety that they have, so if you’re not too picky, this would suffice.

The selection of ingredients are pretty extensive as well, ranging from premium cuts of beef to your usual suspects of sides. While most items come in standard sizes, you do have a selection of small or large for the meats (in the event that you want to try more items out).

As the condiments, it is complimentary (unlike it’s competitor), so head over to make your own concoction of sauces. What I found interesting was that they had sesame oil in cans available as well, certainly not something you see daily.

Service was pretty decent and we even were able to catch the traditional tea pouring and face changing performances!

Price wise, the premium cuts are more affordable, while the usuals are about the same, so do manage your expectations!
