I have been intrigued with vietnamese food since my trip to Ho Chih Min City a couple of year ago. I love how every single dish has complex layers of flavours which combine beautifully and explodes in your mouth.

@redsparrowsg was highly recommended and it certainly did not disappoint. I really enjoyed their banh xeo, a vietnamese pancake. Banh means cake and xeo refers to the sizzling loud sound the rice batter makes when it is poured into the hot skillet. A good banh xeo is savoury, crispy and stuffed full of vegetables, fresh herbs, meat and seafood. Red Sparrow's definitely checks all the boxes.

Bun Thit Nuong is my favourite vietnamese dish and Red Sparrow did not disappoint. The cha goi is crispy and savoury and the roast pork tender, juicy and well marinated. I would have preferred a stronger fish sauce dressing though.

Red Sparrow is slightly on the pricey side but the food is really good and portions are huge. I would definitely be back!
