The newly revamped Awfully Chocolate Bakery & Cafe looks pretty swish right now, and along with its shiny new interior also comes a pretty sweet 2-course set dinner for a pocket-friendly price of $25.

They have a fairly wide range of starters and mains to choose from, including Singapore borscht, warm camembert & pear salad, grilled cauliflower salad, wild mushroom soup and a French onion soup. I love a good French onion, but unfortunately this one missed the mark. Whilst the abundance of caramelised onions in a pleasingly rich broth was texturally sumptuous, the over liberal use of salt made it near undrinkable. At least the cheese crostini was decent.
