When I visit any Thai restaurant for the first time, kor moo yang (Thai grilled pork) is always a must-order. The one at Dee Tongue Thai ($12), which I presume is pork neck, is very good. The meat is nicely browned with just the slightest hint of char, and tender to the bite. But it's the accompanying chilli sauce that really makes this dish – smoky and subtly sweet from palm sugar and tamarind!
