Checked out this affordable Chinese la mian noodle place that’s even more worth it when 1-1 with Burpple beyond! Texture-wise, the hand pulled noodles were springy and of good firmness. While the taste is not the most memorable, the simple and comforting flavours of both the mushroom sauce and tomato soup made for an enjoyable meal. Especially loved pairing them with their homemade mala chilli for added kick and fragrance.

The tomato soup base was light and natural tasting, with a good balance of sweet and sour acidity. It came with four tender prawn paste balls that had added pops of brininess from the ebiko. The dry noodles had a earthy light sauce and tender thinly cut beef shank plus a well-marinated onsen egg. Not sure if it was because we added noodles ($1) but some of it had dried up and clumped together; The bowl could have done with more generous portion of and richer mushroom sauce.
