Japanese sweets cafe

In a corner of Lau Pa Sat is this sleepy Japanese sweets and cakes cafe which serves up all day breakfast, pancakes , Delish egg and tuna croissants ( that resembles tiong bahru’s croissants 🥐) and d-I-y pasta set lunches.

I opted for the bagel which looked too good to resist. Distinctively different from most bagels , this bagel looked so fluffy and fresh with a nice shine on it .

I requested for it to be warmed up and it was delicious. It had a deep flavour ( good fermentation of dough ) and a moist interior with a slight crisp on the outside. Paired with cream cheese or just simple a sunny side up - this was most satisfying .

The cafe has a whole range of Japanese soft sponge cakes 🍰 too and I have heard good reviews about them. Creamy cakes are not my thing so will let you be the judge 😊
