If you haven’t already heard or experience the multi-sensory one-stop shop for yourself, habitat by honestbee is all about eating fresh. And a perfect example is having their Tiger Beer-Battered Fish & Chips (as you would see ordered by most tables)!

A classic British staple done right, their fish and chips come with a choice of 5 types of flaky freshness: Barramundi, Dory, Haddock, Pollock and Snapper. Each served in a sizable box, the large boneless fillet is cushioned with a bed of medium cut shoestring fries and presented alongside were malt vinegar, a lemon wedge, as well as home made tartar sauce.

Firm, moist, and tender on the inside, the slab of Dory ($13.50) was not only delicious but also pretty massive. Unlike the dory fish and chips you get outside, I can certainly vouch for its freshness and filling up close to a third of the box, it was ideal for sharing. What’s more, another selling point was of course, the beer batter. Coated and deep-fried to just the right crisp with a batter made with our local Tiger Beer, the exterior was light, fragrant and not too thick - even the batter crumbs was wiped clean.

Thank you @habitat_sg for feeding us and @Burpple for the eatup invite!
