I'll just be real upfront here: Tiong Bahru Bak Chor Mee is passable, but nothing special. For $3, they are pretty generous with the helping of minced pork, sliced pork & pig liver and it's all pretty well cooked. There wasn't enough sauce to coat the flat noodles evenly, and there was way too much vinegar in it.

However, what you're really here for are those homemade round, brown meatballs (extra $1). That pair, my son, is what fellow Tastemaker Emily proclaims to be her favorite balls. They are very unique as they are basically the stuffed Fuzhou fishballs that everyone knows and loves, but the fish paste is substituted in favor of minced meat that is formed into the bouncy, delectable balls that are guaranteed to please the crowd.

The superbly savory meatballs have a downright delicious and absolutely addictive minced meat core, and these soft balls explode with a tidal wave of flavors when you bite down into them. Stop reading this and go wrap your tongue around these stellar, savory balls right now.
