A dish done right, Dee Tongue Thai by Rung Mama’s Pad See Ew Moo ($6) was a fragrant heap that just screamed comfort food. A homely and honest medley of ingredients held together by the smokiness imparted by the hot wok; it is one of the better stir-fried kway teow I have tried. Such greasy goodness. The slippery flat rice noodles was silky-smooth and seasoned well by the savoury sauce, whilst the beansprouts as well as greens offered some crunch to the plate. There were generous pork slices too, all cooked perfectly.
