compared to the sweet version, the salted mung bean paste wasn’t as smooth and had a more lumpy texture. however, we couldn’t really appreciate this flavour as it was quite peppery and had a slight creamy after taste. maybe savoury akk isn’t for us.

in general, the skin can be quite oily by definition of many. however, it’s the soft, chewy, slightly elastic texture of the skin, combined with the generous fillings that draws us back to these, especially if you eat them fresh on that day itself. if kept overnight, we’d recommend to pop inside the microwave with a bowl of water by the side to bring back the texture.
