At a promotional price of $5 till tomorrow, Yifang’s newly launched Taro Latte and Taro Green Tea Latte ($5.70) comes with no added flavourings - no eye-catching purple hues here. Loaded with chunky mashed taro and fresh milk, both are available in medium size only as a large would be really heavy and filling. Fragrant and mildly sweet, every sip was a delight as you get bits of taro and smooth milk. Best of all, their rendition is a little frothy with their added cream which really enhanced the texture. And between the two, the Taro Green Tea Latte has that extra oomph from the aromatic tea flavour. Though, the refreshing touch does overpower the light earthiness of the taro towards the end. Recommended with no pearls or topping, the cups were essentially well-balanced, not too starchy and something I would go back for.
