Clean and bright environment, plus they have a bigger range of ingredients with less common options like spinach noodles and tea tree mushrooms. Level of spice is higher than the usuals without a very distinct numbness (should be ok to request for more if you prefer!) and our picks were all fried throughly - except it was unfortunately, not as fragrant and way too salty. We’d be back to try again cause the flavour was there and hopefully we just caught them on a bad day.

They’ve other dishes on the menu too, like Grilled Ma La Fish ($19.90) which seemed really popular. You can also pick the additional ingredients from the mlxg range to add on to it! Wan Xing Ma La is a combined place with the next door Teochew porridge, which means you can order from both sides.
