Datuk @jameschiawk highly recommended @amberembersg, a charming little cafe in the Kovan area which specialises in jaffles.
Jaffles is the Aussie phrase for toasties. Essentially, a pie iron (aka sandwich maker for plebians like me) is used to heat, toast and seal a sandwich.
We had their "fowl play" and "fun guy" jaffles. I personally preferred the "fun guy" jaffle which was full of juicy deviled mushrooms and creamy mozzarella cheese. The cured roast chicken thigh in the "fowl play" was a little too dry.
