And this can be in the form of LUMO, which coincidentally means light in the universal Esperanto language. Prior to the implementation of the circuit breaker, we had one final media tasting at LUMO, a brand-new cocktail bar and restaurant specializing in Modern European cuisine using techniques such as wood fire, fermenting, centrifuge and sous vide in their cooking and presentation. At the end of the evening, it was such a positive dining experience that we all went home belly satisfied.

Fortunately, during this period that we are not allowed to dine-in, LUMO has launched their takeaway and delivery menu for all to enjoy the “light”-er side of life in the comfort of your own home. Several of the dishes that we had during the media tasting are made available such as the Shoestring Fries ($14+) with mentaiko mayonnaise and bonito flakes, woodfired Sakura Pork Chop ($36+), Classic Apple Pie ($12+) and Burnt Cheese Cake ($14+). All takeaways and deliveries are available from Monday to Saturday (12:00pm – 9:30pm) and you can place your orders via WhatsApp at 8921 3818. For takeaways, you will need to order 45 minutes in advance before collection. For deliveries, it is only available to selected areas within the Central region with a minimum order of $50, with addition of a flat fee of $5 delivery charge. Alternatively, you can enjoy free delivery for orders above $80. All orders require payment to be made prior to pickup or delivery.
