You wouldn't expect this - Standing Sushi Bar, known for their affordable and casual dining suited for family and fast-paced business crowds, actually has a separate chef sushi counter that offers a premium and intimate omakase experience.

I just recently dined at Odeon Towers outlet with @nantheless, lady boss of @standingsushibar. We were served by their head chef who came from an established fine dining Japanese restaurant in Singapore, for this special counter-only dining experience in an adjoining room separate from the main dining hall.

The sushi pictured are:
- Otoro, buttery, with touch of housemade wafu sauce - Tai with shiso sauce that's also a bit spicy
- Maguro Shoyu Zuke, also marinated with ginger for aroma
- Wagyu, with smoky garlic.

Surely, different from the sushi at Standing Sushi Bar that you've always known of. And much cheaper than what you would pay at fine dining Japanese restaurants.
