Was initially a little skeptical about how a flatbread would fill us up for lunch but the flatbread didn’t fail to impress! Nicely toasted but still chewy, the bread almost reminded me of a pizza. They put a chunk of pork knuckle on each slice making sure every piece had some crackling goodness! Not to forget their sauce which was a little mustardy and sweet and rlly oomphed the dish. The only thing we wished was that the food was warmer, but this was possibly due to the weather being cold and rainy cooling everything down real fast.

Can’t come to Brotzeit without trying their sausages right? So we got a farmers sausage which came which a bed of potatoes and a generous serving of Blaukraut (german red cabbage). One the side were mustard and hot mustard sauce dips! The sausage was flavorful and we could taste the ground texture of the meat while the sides were a little underwhelming >.<

Overall, we really enjoyed the flatbread and will definitely order it again in the future. The next time we go with friends we might just get the whole pork knuckle ! New Brotzeit members (sign up is free) get a complimentary bowl of pork crackling (but we too found it a little underwhelming 🙁). Brotzeit has many branches in Singapore and is a great place to have dinners when you’re craving a piece of Germany without being there physically!
