The Masses for sure ain't no Hong Kong restaurant or local delight eatery, so to find Chee Cheong Fun ($12.90++) on the menu just guarantees how much of an attention grabber it will be amongst the brand new Gin & Brunch menu which features an array of brunch classics with added pzazz that can only be found here!

So what makes this rendition of my favourite local item - which I can find excuses to have at any time of the day - The Masses' very own? Tucked within the rice rolls, you can find pulled duck confit that is cooked to tenderness with no whiff or taste of gaminess. Garnished with the dish are pickled cucumber, balsamic soy, scallion oil with sambal chili on the side, and topped with finely crumbed pangriatta that ingeniously tastes like deep fried shallots over the chee cheong fun.

Personally, I feel that this dish really elevates the local food fusion game and also showcases the creativity and heart the team at The Masses has for their food. Would be super interesting to see them do up a purely local-fusion menu someday. 😉

So wait no longer; if this doesn't get you interested in the new G&B menu at The Masses, I don't know what will...or actually, wait out for more reviews of dishes from this menu to come from me as more delicious food awaits!

This is part of a meal hosted by the amazing people at @themassessg. Thank you so much for arranging this! 🙏
