Newly opened a few days ago, this store originating from Japan is well known for their cheese cookies that resembles the highly raved 白色恋人. Also available in store are the milk cheesecake and strawberry milk Swiss roll, apart from the softserve which is what most people are queuing for now 😅. I opted for the twist to enjoy the best of both worlds. The softserve is smooth and creamy, with a slight milky flavour and a subtle lingering saltiness from the cheese flavour. Personally preferred the latter as the milk softserve (made from Jersey cow milk with Hokkaido mascarpone cheese) was rather mild in flavour and lacked the characteristic dairy aroma of a Hokkaido milk. The cheese softserve was made with a mixture of cream cheese and Gouda cheese which came off as a good balance of sweet-salty, with a mild lingering pleasant aftertaste that provided a good dimension to cut through the other sweeter elements. The milk cheesecake resembled that of Letao’s double fromage, made with cream cheese from France & Hokkaido, blended with fresh cream, mousse and wrapped in a thin paper-like crepe. It had a light, creamy melt-in-the mouth texture that was luscious and enjoyable without being too overwhelming on the palate. On the other hand, the salt & Camembert biscuit was what I enjoyed most here, and apparently this is what they have always been known for. The cookie was crisp, with a thin layer of camembert cheese cream sandwiched within, spiced up with the addition of salt that added a pleasant lingering salty aftertaste. No regrets having this all by myself, though a sinful indulgence. Would certainly be back for more and to try the other flavours of cheese cookies! 🧀🍪
