Finally tried out Violet Oon's at @Ion_Orchard! The menu features a good variety of signature Peranakan dishes, such as Sayur Lodeh (S$13++), Babi Pong Tay ($18++), Ayam Buah Keluak (S$23++), Beef Rendang (S$23++) and Udang Goreng Chilli (S$32++). Amongst the various dishes we tried, this laksa was my favourite. It was not too spicy, yet flavourful enough. The dried version meant that it was definitely less messy and perfect for sharing!

While the price is a little on the high side, I would say that it is still a good place to bring tourist friends to, with its variety of local dishes, (toned down) level of spiciness suitable for the foreign palate and convenient location.
