Despite that, the interior was still fresh, juicy with a characteristic seafood-sque flavour.
2️⃣Sichuan Mala Crispy Prawns[$22(R), $35(L)] Once again, the exterior shells of these fresh, plump and juicy prawns served as a barrier for the Mala spices, only retaining the characteristic spice and fragrance on its exterior. If you aren’t concern about been glam here when peeling the prawns, simply just lick up the remnants of spice on your fingers🤭. Just don’t tell others that I taught you that!🤫
3️⃣ Sichuan Mala Fragrant Fish [$38(R),$48(L)] Bathing in a Sichuan peppercorn infused soya sauce, the aromatic Mala flavour was more distinct here albeit not mouth-numbing, a good complement to the soft, delicate flesh of the fish.
4️⃣ Sichuan Mala Diced Chicken [$15(R), $22(L)] - My favourite of all the Mala creations here as these crispy, deep fried bite sized chunks of sized popcorn-alike chicken comes with the most prominent Mala fragrance & spice, perhaps also due to a greater compatibility between chicken and mala. This comes with a slightly fiery, mouth numbing sensation to the palate which is great for fans of spicy food! 🌶 Pretty addictive that I couldn’t stop laying my hands off them! 😋.
Overall I felt that the spice intensity in these Mala dishes here isn’t overwhelming and generally acceptable. As a fan of spicy food, I do secretly wish for it to be bolder, more intense with a greater kick! 🔥

Thanks @yassinkampung for whipping up a feast of spice (that makes all things nice 😋👍🏻) for us the other day and @ahgongahmajiak for extending the invite! 🙆🏻‍♀️ .
