🍴Dee Tongue Thai is as good as it gets for Thai street food in Singapore! Every dish we tried exemplified what is so addictive about Thai cuisine - the perfect harmony of sweet, sour, salty and spicy! The Thai papaya salad was strong on funk from the fermented shrimp and we gobbled it up within 5 mins! The spicy fried catfish was tossed with red curry paste, green peppercorns that we loved, and other fresh herbs and chillies. So spicy, fresh, and umami! We order the Tom yum every time and it is always great - more tangy and spicier than other versions outside, and brimming with loads of squid and prawns. The green curry and pad woon sen talay (fried vermicelli) were excellent renditions as well. Would also recommend getting their Thai milk tea that’s fragrant and not overly sweetened to help counter the spiciness.

That said, not all the dishes are rockstars. We were disappointed by their pad thai that had more of a sweet tomato-based sauce and pad see ew that was forgettable. We found both noodle dishes to be on the oilier side and lacking sourness.

Overall, prices were extremely reasonable given the portions and sheer amount of quality ingredients. We haven’t tried better Thai food at such a reasonable price point - have you?
