The newly put up posters filled with awards in the eating house caught our eyes and naturally, breakfast is decided to be here! This famed Mee Pok stall has its original outlet in Bedok. The $4 version comes with a simple combination of fishballs, fishcakes, minced meat and pork slices. The 5/6 dollars ones have additional prawns which I thought would be the case for even the cheapest option since it is displayed on the signboard (was slightly disappointed). The al-dente noodles were tossed evenly with pork lard, oil and chili. We were quite impressed with the taste. I'd prefer a crunchier bite to the fishballs but they were no doubt fresh. It's a good bowl of dry mee pok but portion could have been bigger for its price!

If you fancy porridge, there's a really good one here too! I can't remember the name but it's a small shop tucked in the corner, next to the drinks stall. One of my family's favourite since I was young!
