Can't decide on rice or noodles? Head on down to this new Japanese spot in Raffles City, which serves both tendon and ramen. For rice, consider their specialty Unatendon ($19.80), which sees a generous piece of juicy grilled eel alongside assorted crisply fried tempura, served with rice (add $1 for truffle rice). The elements are cooked well, and come together pleasingly — great if you like tendon with a twist. As for noodles the Tonkotsu Chasu Ramen ($15.80) is a classic that will hit the spot. Burpple Tastemaker Xing Wei Chua loves the bite of the char siew, how the milky broth was rich but not overwhelming, as well as that beautifully molten centre of the soft-boiled egg.
Avg Price: $20 per person
