Inspired by chrysanthemum indigenous to Kaifeng city, this smooth signature cocktail at Yellow Pot is possibly my favourite item off the menu. Made of chrysanthemum cordial and herbal Tanqueray gin, it’s fragrant of floral notes and a touch sweet, as bitter gin hits ever so lightly in the back of your tongue.

If you’re abstaining from alcohol, try The Kaifeng ($9) — the non drinker-friendly version features the hotel’s housemade sparkling water.
