Featuring the highly raved southern style Lewellyn’s Fine Fried Chicken cooked with a 100-year old recipe. Was kinda excited to try this chicken that was brined for 27 hours.

For me, I thought the cheddar cheese waffle stole the show. The addition of cheddar gave the waffles a slight savoury kick and pairing it with the sweet bourbon maple syrup was perfect!

To my surprise, the watermelon was seasoned. Though the watermelon serves to balance your palate and acts as a good appetizer, I feel that the spiced watermelon is an acquired taste that is subjective to an individual’s liking.

To be very honest, the fried chicken tasted pretty normal to me. It was very crispy and juicy with the breast meat being quite tough and dry.

Overall, I really like the sauces that accompanied this dish - Honey Hot Sauce and Bourbon Maple Syrup. But I guess I just wasn’t blown away by this dish.
