During my first visit to @tuanyuan.sg, the friendly and enthusiastic owner-chef Frankie Gwee invited us into his kitchen for a tour.

According to Frankie, their bkt soup is triple-boiled with more pork bones added at each stage. After each stage, the oil is laddled out and the soup sieved so that you only get a clear stock. The pork bones are boiled until they become brittle and break down so that the essence of the pork bone goes into the soup.

Frankie also recommends that you have his soup with their special flower tea which helps reduce the bloated feeling you usually have after bkt.

Hearing Frankie extol about how bkt helped him recover from a serious accident, helps drive away cancer and keeps one healthy, you can't help but believe that a bowl of bkt a day, keeps the doctor away.

I have been back at Tuan Yuan thrice in 5 weeks. Let's just say I am truly sold on his bkt!
