As you can see, the bun is stuffed with red bean paste! It is a bit on the sweeter side, so I could only eat half a bun at any one sitting. Also, there are not as many walnuts as there used to be, and the bun is much smaller. That said, the last time I bought bread from Mama was probably 5 years ago, so the decrease in size could be justified by an effect of inflation over the years, as the price has remained the same!

Also, I must commend the tasty wholegrain bread used to make the bun. I think it is very underrated and easy to overlook with the in-your-face red bean paste. More bakeries should use wholegrain bread in sweet buns to balance out the sugar and processed carbs!! But maybe this is just a reflection of my ageing taste buds and preferences haha.
