After reading reviews and recommendations, there was a certain level of expectations about the quality of food given the higher price point. Unfortunately, dinner severely failed to impress. We had the $138 Omakase and $68 beef set and while the food wasn’t bad, it was mediocre at best, and definitely not worth the price tag - I’ve had much better at lower prices. Almost all of the Omakase dishes were heavily doused in truffle oil (prob to explain the price tag) and I may be wrong but the crab dish didn’t taste like it was even made of real crab meat. Service was also lacklustre as the wait staff couldn’t tell us the difference between the $100 and $138 Omakase menu and served dishes without telling us which set it belonged to. It might have been the weekend and therefore a slower crowd but what was supposed to be a treat was really a disappointment.
