There are places that bring out the “creature of habit” in me and “Din Tai Fung” probably tops the list. I tend to not bother looking at the menu whenever I am there, and simply tick my usual items on the order sheet. But today, something made me flip through the menu and that’s when I spotted this dish: “Dry noodles with Taiwan shrimp and pork dumplings in a sour and spicy sauce”. I was intrigued so that promptly became my choice for lunch instead. Fortunately, it turned out to be very appealing to me. The spiciness coupled with a clear sour tang made the sauce very appetising. It paired very well with the soft hand-pulled noodles as well as the dumplings, which by the way, were fabulous - fresh tasting with a firm, juicy crunch.
